Drop Your Anchor: 3 Essential Core Values

We all face uncertain times. The book of Hebrews uses pictorial language describing this as an anchor. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil.” Hebrews 6:19. Now, the imagery of an anchor obviously creates a picture of a boat that is going through winds and waves of uncertain circumstances. The sail, of course, is used to catch the wind to help drive us along in our course of direction. But the anchor is dropped through the tossing of the waves of uncertainty all [...]

Revival: Lasting Change or a Passing Cloud

By |2023-03-09T15:54:37-06:00March 9th, 2023|Recent Articles|0 Comments

Wisdom is needed for any move of God to be sustained. When revival comes, the presence of these three components determines whether it will bring lasting change or be a passing cloud. They are the Holy Spirit’s: 1. Power, 2. Fruit, and 3. Wisdom. We have had revivals before, haven't we? We have had moves of the Spirit where people come and catch fire but the region or city where the move is taking place is left unchanged. And we have had renewals where a lot of people get filled and it does very little to bring any dimension [...]

Become the Revelation: Incarnate God’s Word

As a prophet and a teacher, I talk a lot about the subject of revelation. But in the pursuit of revelation, it is often easy to miss its purpose. The heart of God is that we become the revelation, and incarnate God’s word—in other words, for us to look like, sound like, and act like Jesus! One of the people I have the honor of working with is Jeffrey Thompson, who serves as a project director for God Encounters Ministries. Here he describes a revelatory experience he had with the Lord that expresses this theme well: “One day not [...]

Do Not Despise the Days of Small Beginnings

By |2023-02-23T12:00:21-06:00February 23rd, 2023|Recent Articles|0 Comments

Have you ever struggled with having a big dream but you weren’t sure where to start to see it fulfilled? You might feel stuck right now because you know that you have a God-sized dream on the inside of you. But… how do you get there? Whatever you do, do not despise the day of small beginnings. Scripture gives us a VERY important truth regarding this. Zachariah 4:10a says, “For who has despised the day of small things?” NKJV “Who [with reason] despises the day of small things (beginnings)?” AMP Every big dream you have ever seen fulfilled has [...]

Contending Altars of Worship

By |2023-02-16T18:26:09-06:00February 16th, 2023|Recent Articles|0 Comments

Just like in the times of Elijah and Jezebel, today we are contending for the altars of worship. As you may be aware, in the recent Grammy awards ceremony there was a performance that literally portrayed Satanic worship. In 1 Kings 18:21, Elijah is speaking to the people in his famous showdown with Ahab, Jezebel, and the priests of Baal on Mount Carmel. He says, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him and if Baal, then follow him.” Then the text notes an interesting observation, “But the people answered him not [...]
